Ensure Cookies Are Loaded on Homepage

For projects that rely on one or more cookies loaded by the Homepage itself to display properly, this setting ensures cookies on the Homepage are loaded.

When executing a content refresh where cookies need to be cleared, Kiosk Pro executes that process while loading the URL configured as the app’s Homepage. This may result in some cookies loaded by the Homepage being cleared and unavailable for use.

If this setting is enabled, Kiosk Pro automatically creates a local page that immediately redirects to your Homepage on load. This redirect page uses the Loading & Default Background Color (RGB) or Image and no other text or images so the transition is not visible to visitors. This extra step ensures all cookies set by the actual Homepage are retained.

This setting is disabled by default to minimize page loading time for projects that do not need cookies from the Homepage.  This setting also has no effect if the homepage is set to a PDF file or a locally stored page as these types of files do not support cookies.
