This setting allows you to configure a point of contact for support and documentation of the kiosk project for future reference. This setting is shown as a read-only field in the app's iOS/iPadOS settings, allowing someone picking up the project later to find more information about who set it up and how it was configured.

Default Value: This setting is designed to point staff to a support contact and/or documentation for the project and is shown in the iOS/iPadOS settings for the app. If you are viewing this message in iOS/iPadOS settings, this has not been updated and you should reach out to your internal IT team if you need help with this device.

Our support team has fielded hundreds, possibly thousands, of inquiries over the years from people who are trying to troubleshoot an existing kiosk, but don't know who is responsible for setting up and/or supporting the kiosk within their organization. While we are happy to help where we can, we're not privy to the decisions made in setting up that kiosk and can't always answer questions about their specific configuration.

In other instances, someone inheriting responsibility for a kiosk project doesn't have any reference material about how a project was set up, which frequently results in having to start from scratch, which is frustrating and demoralizing for everyone involved. If you are the person setting up the project, please set aside time to document your project. To get started, we have a list of suggested items we recommend documenting here.

While we continue to recommend labeling the exterior of the iPad with this information, this setting provides a place where it can be found in the app's settings and iOS/iPadOS settings.
