Troubleshooting: Locally stored page opens as code
Pages written in a language that requires server-side processing - meaning that they require a server to translate into code that Kiosk Pro (or any other browser) can display - cannot be viewed locally on the iPad as there is no server to interpret the code in this scenario.
Server-side languages include PHP, ASP, Ruby, Python, PERL or ColdFusion. In addition, many content management systems (like WordPress) are written in server-side languages.
We do not currently have any plans to support PHP or any other server-side languages in local mode. While there are HTTP:// servers for iOS, there are no PHP interpreters currently for this environment. If one became available, we would need to have some discussions about the implications for support and implementation before we decided to move forward.
