Screensaver Single Video Sync Settings
Synchronize video across multiple devices. This can be used to display a single video or multiple videos with an identical length to create large-scale displays made up of multiple iPads.
Kiosk Pro uses the system clock and the length of the video file defined to create a sync schedule used to start the video.
As the schedule is based on the length of the video, accurate syncing can be done using:
- a single video file running across multiple devices, allowing you to create a polished look when running multiple kiosks in a single location
- multiple video files of the same length running across multiple devices, allowing you to group multiple iPads into a larger dynamic display
When using this feature, we recommend allowing the device to set the time automatically using Apple's servers, which are very accurate and ensure that all devices are starting their schedule at the same time - this can be checked and configured in System Settings > General > Set Automatically.
It is also required to configure the same time zone for all devices using Single Video Sync.
Note: The first cycle may not sync perfectly as a video can require different processing time depending on the device.
Idle Time Behavior
Choose how the Idle Time Limit should behave with the Single Video Sync feature.
- Refresh homepage, start screensaver at next sync cycle
Other Possible Values:
- Start unsynced screensaver, refreshing to sync at next cycle
Refresh homepage, start screensaver at next sync cycle
When the Idle Time Limit triggers, the app refreshes the Homepage and waits for the next sync timer to start the screensaver.
Start unsynced screensaver, refreshing to sync at next cycle
When the Idle Time Limit triggers, the app starts the screensaver. When the next sync timer triggers, the video gets restarted in order to sync the videos.
